Welcome to our new Executive Director and Program Manager

Please welcome Mark Crocker to the position of Executive Director of Leadership Victoria. Mark brings a passion for building healthy communities and extensive experience leading projects and training volunteers doing humanitarian work all over the world. Mark designed and delivers a cross cultural training certificate program for leaders of volunteer teams working overseas, and he also consults and coaches individuals and groups engaged in making an impact in community development and cross cultural settings. Mark currently volunteers as a director of the New Hope Schools society, where he is working on introducing a smokeless stove design to reduce respiratory disease for families in Haiti. Locally, Mark helped to organize the successful refugee sponsorship event in June 2016 put on by the Inter-Cultural Association and the Anglican Diocese to provide information to community members interested in sponsoring refugees in Victoria. Mark is an innovator, a connector and a community builder, and he is looking forward to using these skills to help Leadership Victoria launch its new program and to continue to develop, celebrate and support leaders engaged in building a vibrant community.

 

Please welcome Jacy Morissette to the position of Program Manager for Leadership Victoria. Jacy brings exceptional communication, marketing and project management skills gained from over 10 years supporting the Performing Arts Program at Red Deer College and as a Prevention Conversation Facilitator for the Central Alberta FASD Network. Jacy’s track record of supporting learners from their first inquiry into the program through to graduation and beyond is a testament to her ability to build relationships that contribute to learner and program success. Locally, Jacy volunteered with Theatre for Living’s production of šxʷʔam̓ət (home) by connecting with local communities to provide complimentary tickets to individuals with lived experience of the residential school system. Jacy has completed several leadership and business related programs including a mediation and conflict resolution certificate from Red Deer College and is also trained as a Circle facilitator (Restorative Practice). Jacy has a reputation for seeing what needs to be done and doing it. She is a relationship builder with a passion for restorative culture & community. She is looking forward to using these skills to launch and grow the new Community Leadership Development program and to help build leaders who build community.
