Position and authority do not always equal power. Are you a community leader, activist, employee, or member of an organization who sometimes finds it difficult to be heard, by the people you need to get on board with your ideas?
Increase your effectiveness at leading when you don't have a formal title, role, or authority. During this highly interactive workshop, explore how to build your influencing power with Fiona Prince, Communications and Behavioural Consultant.
- identifying ways of communicating that bring out the best in you, and connect to the people you need to influence;
- finding your sources of influence - what's your 15%?;
- having effective conversations with people in authority;
- framing problems in a way that lets others contribute to solutions.
These techniques will help you build relationships that can contribute to positive change over time. We're not talking about quick fixes or attention-grabbing gimmicks - we're taking the long view to growing your influence so you can work collaboratively towards change that benefits the community.
