As Research Supervisor for UVIC's Public Health & Social Policy Department, Angela coaches students, with disabilities, working on research projects relating to assistive technology

Niki works as a Product Development Coordinator for Can Assist at UVIC. Her work has always been at the intersection of education, health & community

Imen is an engineering co-op coordinator at UVIC. She strives to be a good leader & coach to the students she teachers and mentors



As Casual and Support Services Coordinator at the Victoria Cool Aid Society, Sara has the desire to empower her staff to make a difference in the lives of those they serve

Eva Eaton 

Alison Edwards

A Chartered HR Professional and a regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, Eva is also an instructor at Camosun, on the steering committee of UVIC Political Science Alumni and on Oak Bay High's Alumni Board of Directors


Alison is the founder and sole proprietor of a small technical writing business. Her main focus is grant writing, with her clients being predominantly non-profit organizations

Carey Gustafson 

Elysia is Executive Director at the non-profit, Community Micro Lending Society. Coordinator for the Raising Voices poets-in-schools programs, she also produced Victorious Voices Youth Festival in 2014

Carey works at BC Pension Corporation as a Client Service Manager. Her leadership intentions are a love of public service in addition to inspiring and leading her team. She helps those around her to uncover their potential and realize their own success

Janelle Hatch

Working with Island Health's Healthy Schools program, Janelle leads a team of nurses and dietitians. Their goal being to strengthen healthy environments and initiatives within the Greater Victoria School District


Running the Student Calling Program at UVIC's Annual Giving Department, Dana works with students to raise funds and reach out to alumni to share their campus initiative 

Ken Louis

Iris Mueller

Born and raised in Victoria, Ken completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at UVIC. English is his third language and he is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He is CFO at Integra Support Services

Iris is a marketing coordinator at BC Transit. Working with stakeholders to implement and increase public awareness of service change implementations and public engagements. Collaboration is key to her job

Ahmed works as a Fleet Technology Engineer at BC Transit. Through his ability to share his vision and engage his colleagues in a digital age, he introduced an electric bus to BC Transit Fleet

Manager of Corporate Communications & Engagement for the City of Colwood, Sandra also spends her time volunteering as communications support at the Pacific Centre Family Services Associations

Sarah Temple

Andrea Toombs

Formerly a social worker and now working in local government, Sarah seeks to further develop her connection to her home community of Sooke. She aspires to be a community leader  inspire others


Prior to joining the community Engagement Division of Saanich Police Department, Andrea was a member of the RCMP for 10 years. She holds a degree in English Literature from UBC and a post graduate diploma in Linguistics from UVIC 

Kara Udell

Paul Vandenboomen

As the Foundation Coordinator for Threshold Housing Society, Kara is responsible for networking with community organizations and connecting their youth programs to the resources available throughout the region

Paul works as a lead hand at the City of Victoria's Sanitation Department. Outside of this work, Paul is also a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Westshore Parks and Recreation
