Christina Barnes

Natasha Ewing


A UVIC grad with a BSc, Christina has spent 15+ years working with wild & domestic species. She is passionate about teaching hands-on science programs at her local recreation center. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with family.

Although from the Kootenays, Natasha’s adventurous spirit inspired her to pursue a degree in biology & ocean services. She works with Ocean Networks Canada, creating youth-learning opportunities about the marine ecosystem for the classroom.

Linda Finch

Phil Gaudet

Passionate about providing sport & recreational opportunities for all, Linda manages Program Services at SEAPARC Leisure Complex (Sooke). During her time in the program, she also trained for her first marathon and enjoyed playing flag football.

Born in Lahr, Germany, Phil has lived in 7 cities across Canada. He first came to Victoria to complete Camosun’s Hotel & Restaurant Administration Program. After a few years on the mainland and more schooling at Royal Roads, Phil now calls Victoria home.

Jen (Jennifer) Harrison

Todd Johnston

Receiving her BA Psychology from McMaster University, Jen’s focus was in child & youth care. Coming to Victoria, she has developed programs to support youth facing multiple barriers and is now Youth & Family engagement coordinator at Foundry Victoria.

Todd has a Bachelors’ in Environmental Science (RRU) and a Fish/wildlife/Recreation Technical Diploma (BCIT). His education has led him to employment at CRD as the Environmental Science Officer. He is passionate about music, mindfulness, yoga, community, and cycling.

Karla Landsiedel

Alison Lenz


Karla advocates for the integration of individuals with disabilities in a society free of judgment or barriers. Accordingly, her work with Integra Support Services allows her to coordinate homes for individuals with physical & developmental disabilities.


Living in Victoria for 14+ years, Alison studied psychology (Camosun) and English & Medieval Studies (UVIC). Her hobbies are cooking, reading, knitting and spending time with friends. She also curls in two leagues, keeping her busy in the winter months.

Diane McKerrell

Jeremy Meckler

Diane was a competitive horseback rider as a child. She has trained at the Olympic level, but unfortunately, an injury to her horse caused an early retirement. Leading to her pursuing a BBA in Marketing & Communications Management and volunteering.

An accomplished business developer, manager & community builder, Jeremy took his undergraduate degree with a major in Geography, a Master of Business Admin and the ManageMentor program through Harvard Business School.

David Nicholson

Ryan O'Neill

David was born in Montreal and grew up in Ottawa. He studied Computers & Biochemistry in University. Later becoming a police officer for 26 years in Ottawa and Victoria. His career continued onto as a technical investigator with the Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch.

Growing up in Victoria, Ryan attended SFU. Becoming a Police Officer after graduation, he has served police departments for 5 years in Vancouver and 12+ years in Victoria. Married and with two kids, he enjoys fishing, skiing and spending time out on the lake.

Kim Perkins

Christopher Piché


An active community volunteer, Kim is involved with Victoria Special Olympics as a coach and PR Coordinator. She has lived in Victoria for 8+ years and is Manager of Communications & Development at Burnside Gorge Community Association.

Coming to Victoria to complete his BBA (HR Management & Leadership) at Camosun, Christopher loves to call Victoria home, spending his time cycling, running…anything outdoors! His second marathon was running for KidSport Victoria.

Emily Pridham

Dustin Ray-Wilks

Born & raised on a farm near Creston, BC., Emily spent her early 20’s working as a tree planter and firefighter. She came to Victoria to complete a masters’ in Sociology and has worked for the Alzheimer Society of BC, where she is able to help those and their families in need.

Growing up in Abbotsford BC., Dustin came to Victoria to study Recreation & Health Education at UVIC (2006). He loves creating strong & healthy communicates through his work of Community Recreation Coordinator at Panorama Recreation.

Linda Ryder

Rebecca Scott

Born in Manitoba, and having lived across Canada, Linda moved to Victoria and worked for CIBC. She later moved to Colliers International as executive assistant to a previous supervisor. She is now the Admin Manager at Colliers.

Having a love for working with children, Rebecca worked with the Ministry of Education and created program standards for the Pre-K B.C. Education System. She started a child-care business in Costa-Rica and is currently director of a Victoria daycare.


Christopher Wood


Born & Raised in Edmonton, Christopher’s childhood was on a small farm with many animals. Spending 10+ years in the Vancouver Film Industry and later worked with Saanich Search & Rescue, directing an 80-person team. He loves to be surrounded by wildlife and nature.
