Brent Bickerton

Sophie Bird

Brent is trained as a Special Constable for the Province of BC. He works in the Financial Services Industry as a Branch Manager focusing on Coaching and Team Leadership. He is currently Vice President of the Mortgage Specialists Team at BMO

Having achieved a degree in English from UVIC and another in Justice Studies from Royal Roads, Sophie works as a legislative analyst and appeals advisor for the Ministry of Education. Sophie has worked with BC Public Service since 2006

Kerry Gauvin

Susan Green

Kerry started his career with BC Transit as manager of operations where he was able to develop his leadership skills. Kerry is currently Regional Service Delivery Manager at Victoria International Airport

As Registrar of the provincial Heritage Branch, Susan maintains the BC Register of Historic Places and nominates new BC records to the Canadian Register of Historic Places.

Dean Jantzen

Carol Jenkins

Dean is a police officer serving the Saanich Police where his roles are varied across avenues of patrol, street crime unit, drug sections, organized crime agency and as a media officer

Having a degree in Psychology and a diploma in photography, Carol is a research analyst with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. She has 10+ years experience working in the restaurant industry

Tracey Johns

Maria McLeod

Before Tracy accepted her position as a Disability Management Consultant with VIHA, she was the supervisor of the Alcohol and Drug Services Care Home Program at the Boys & Girls Club of Victoria. Tracy obtained her degree in psychology from UVIC

Maria moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in the banking industry where she decided to move back to Victoria and worked as a branch member. She is involved with land/habitat protection and species preservation

Cherie Miltimore

Mira Motet

Cherie obtained a degree in political science from Queen’s University, spent time in Paris and returned to BC to study broadcast journalism. Cherie worked with the Vancouver CBC TV newsroom, where she left to study early childhood education and ultimately became a preschool teacher

Born in Romania, Mira excelled as a political scientist at UVIC. She went on to complete a master’s degree in public administration. She has amassed five years in entrepreneurial experience before she became a key fundraiser with UVIC. She is currently Associate Director of Development at the Calgary Academy

Karen Ringstead

Connie (Constance) Sheffield-Reith

Karen began her academic career at Camosun College as a public administrator where she went on to further her education through UVIC. After 21 years with CIBC, Karen became District Branch Manager

 

Before her role as Administrative Coordinator at the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre, Connie managed a marina and yacht brokerage in Victoria. She volunteers with the Sexual Assault Response Team in addition to her role at WSAC. 

Leigh (Sifton) Campbell

Kelsey Strudwick

Leigh obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography from the University of Calgary as well as a master’s in landscape architecture from UBC. Leigh has worked in the public and private sectors preparing park management plans, sustainability strategies and active transportation plans for numerous BC communities

Kelsey received her degree in kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick. She then bought a used car and travelled across Canada where she found herself residing in Victoria. She volunteers and works with different projects within Victoria

Chris Tilden

Patricia Weber

Chris holds a diploma in Financial Management- Professional Accounting and a Certificate in Financial Planning from BCIT. Since then, Chris has worked with Vancity Savings Credit Union for over 15 years

 

Patricia started work with Victoria’s United Way after spending two campaigns with them in Edmonton. Prior to that, she worked as a Post Office Supervisor, Apartment building manager, and in accounting and banking. Her position with BMO allowed her to learn of the Loaned Rep role with United Way and she had found her passion

Sherri Williams

Karen Witkowski

Sherri has extensive experience with volunteerism and charity work. She completed a degree in French through UVIC and then supplemented that degree with a Diploma in Applied Linguistics to teach ESL. After 18 years as an ESL teacher, Sherri completed her M.Ed Degree in Post-Secondary Studies through the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Sherri is now a Student Advisor for international students at UVIC

Karen has been described as having the ability to lead a team to meet and exceed any challenge. She has worked with Island Savings for 15 years in Salt Spring Island prior to accepting a role as Account Manager in Victoria. Ultimately working her way to Branch Manager and helped her branch win the 2009 Leadership Award. She then went on to flagship the Victoria branch at Douglas and Broughton since 2010
