Achievement Media Release
Victoria’s
Leadership Awards recognize and honor outstanding citizens
who have effected change and improvement in civil society,
have been institution builders, and have led and inspired
others to contribute to the community as well. Proceeds
from this event support Leadership Victoria programming
for community learning and for deserving participants.
Awards are presented in the following categories:
The Rotary Community Leadership Awards recognize
community leaders who meet the Rotary test of the highest
level of ethical behavior and community leadership.
The University of Victoria Community Leadership Awards acknowledge
exemplary leadership in linking the University of Victoria
and the community for greater public benefit.
The Leadership Victoria Lifetime Achievement Award honours outstanding long-term service in community leadership roles such as philanthropy, innovation, mentoring and career achievement.
The Vancity Youth Award recognizes an emerging leader who has played a leading role in the community. Nominees for this award must be between the ages of 20-30 years.
The Victoria
Foundation Award recognizes an organization that is building
community capacity and achieving positive change. The
award recipient is chosen by the Victoria Foundation
based on the
Foundation's broad community perspective and experience.
The Leadership
Victoria Alumni Award recognizes a graduate
of the Leadership Victoria program who continues to demonstrate
outstanding
leadership and service to the Greater Victoria community.
